.gif3rd – 5th : 36th Chiang Mai Flower Festival 2012  The 36th annual Flower Festival is coming up, with activities that include an exhibition and flower competitions, a flower parade starting on Saturday 4th February at 8 a.m. from Nawarat Bridge and ending at Suan Buak Haad Gardens, a Miss Flower Beauty Contest, a market selling OTOP and souvenirs from local shops at Suan Buak Haad Park and Thapae Gate. .gif25th : 8th Annual Run for Relief With all the political crises and the difficult conditions in Burma for the past decades, running has not been a choice. Many villagers have had to run wearing only flip flops and in some cases bare foot. This Saturday 25th, you will have a chance to walk (or run) in their shoes. Staged will be a 100-meter dash for small children and a five-kilo run/walk for adults, including the popular Flip Flop division. Free pairs of flip-flops for those giving it a try. Registration 7 am, Run 8 am, Dash 9 am at Huay Tung Tao Lake (five kms north of CM city on the Canal Road): 200 baht entry fee in the races, organized by Christians Concerned for Burma.
