.gifThere are many dessert shops on Nimmanhamin Road for gourmet lovers to fill their day with sweetness. It seems that this kind of business is expanding quite quickly on this road to cater to the trendy life-style of modern people who like to spend their free time sitting and chilling out in cool places, especially dessert or coffee shops. Kantary Bakery is one of them.

.gifHighly recommended as a hang-out is the Kantary Bakery at Kantary Terrace, next to the Kantary Hills Hotel, Chiang Mai. Decorated in a modern-vintage style, the shop offers high-quality bakery products in an agreeable indoor and outdoor atmosphere.

.gifAn ‘absolute must’ on its menu for all visitors is the crispy and aromatic Oh La La Honey Toast. Served with vanilla ice-cream, whipping cream, honey, fresh strawberries and banana – this dessert is to-die-for. The Blueberry Cheese Cake, a perfect combination of sweet and sour tastes, is highly recommended too. Its Fruit Tartlet is also delicious, combining pastry, cream and many types of assorted fruits perfectly.

.gifThey also serve freshly brewed authentic Lavazza Coffee from Italy, which is a rare find in Chiang Mai. Another perfect match for the desserts is an ice-cream. Here you can enjoy lusciously rich, homemade Italian ice-cream in such flavors as Strawberry Sherbet, Cappuccino, Yoghurt Blueberry, Rum Raisin, Double Chocolate and more.

.gifCome and enjoy great cakes, desserts and drinks in a leisurely atmosphere at Kantary Bakery, open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Nimmanhamin Road, Soi 12.

.gifEvery single ingredient is selected well by professional chefs to guarantee the excellent outcomes. The signature dish of the Canal is Todd Mun Goong Almond or fried crumbed seaweed, almond prawn cakes, served with sweet chili dip, cucumber and crushed peanut. Another recommended dish is Som Tam Salmon, a spicy Thai style papaya salad with salmon. Also, you shouldn’t miss the The Canal’s unique Lanna creation which is Gaeng Hang Lay See Klong Moo - northern Thai curried pork ribs with pickled garlic and ginger.

.gifThis place is also an exceptionally favoured location for all drink lovers, as fine-quality red wines and white wines are available to sip along with the tasteful dishes. Besides, you can enjoy a variety of cocktails composed with house-made syrups by well-trained mixologists who believe that life and drinking should be as artistic as art itself.

.gifThe guests can choose to dine in the room of the restaurant, decorated in modern-Lanna style with many brown décor items along with the cool sound of music, or chill out on the 2nd floor terrace of the restaurant where they can look over Chiang Mai’s street life.
