Karen Hill Tribe Lodge: Let the Adventure Begin!
An unspoilt wilderness, Galyani Vadhana is 250 KM. from Chiang Mai in North Thailand. Not easy to get to, but that’s part of the reason why it is so special.
The terrain is an Eden of scenic mountain landscape and clear mountain streams with picturesque Karen and Lisu hill tribe villages. The abundance of flora and fauna includes the largest natural pine forest in Northern Thailand. Here you have a high possibility of being woken up in the morning by the ‘shouting’ of the scarce gibbons (chanee) as they call to each other through the trees.
The population is predominantly Karen hill tribes, proud of preserving their traditions and culture. In the evening at the camp fire under the brilliant stars you will witness fascinating Karen hill tribe dancing with guides explaining the meaning of their traditional songs and dress code.
During the day there is an abundance of activities: trekking, a real elephant safari, bird, wild flower and butterfly photography, mushroom hunting, fruit collecting, hill tribe fishing and much more. Nowhere else in Thailand can you have such diverse activities in one location.
The Asian Elephant safari package combines an eco-friendly adventure tour with first class accommodations set in an authentic Karen Hill Tribe Village . This off-the-beaten path tour is designed for today’s modern conscientious traveler. Because of our unique partnership with the Karen people and elephants, we are able to directly support and maintain their unique natural life style.
Far from concrete and city streets, out in the real jungles of Thailand you will see happy villagers and elephants living together as they have for centuries.
For those who want comfort, good food and unspoilt nature, together we can help sustain traditional life as you take part in daily village activities. This is the unique tour you’ve been looking for!
