11th : A Remembrance Day Service

.gif11th : A Remembrance Day Service at the Chiang Mai Foreign Cemetery in memory of all those who gave their lives in war and the service of their country. The non-denominational service will commence about 10.45 a.m. A Two Minute Silence will be observed at 11 am. After the service visitors are invited to the Chiang Mai Gymkhana Club for refreshments. The Chiang Mai Foreign Cemetery is on the Chiang Mai-Lamphun Road, 1 mile south of the Narawat Bridge, opposite the Electric Company offices.

.gif27th - 28th Feb 2010 : Cosmic Creatures:Textiles from Northeast Lao Communities, this exhibition gives a glimpse into the heavens of the peoples of northeast Laos where serpents are powerful allies and can become human; birds can turn into elephants, serpents or boats, through an art form created by women. The exhibition will be held at The Patricia Cheesman Collection Gallery, Studio Naenna, Soi Changkhian, Huay Kaew Rd. Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (please call first) and by appointment at 053 226 042.
