Elephant Art Exhibition
Elephants are one of Thailand’s Tourist fascinations, especially for foreigners. Elephant riding and shows are very popular. Maesa Elephant Camp has a painting training course for elephant babies born in the Maesa Elephant Nursery Project. The project was started by inviting Ajarn Chawalit Sae Chern to instruct Wanpen and Kongkam, two little elephants, to paint with Chinese paintbrushes. Now there are seven elephants who have painting ability. Their works will be exhibited on Wat Chang Kong lawn, close to the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel, near the Night Bazaar until 31st March, 2004. This exhibition is being arranged by The Imperial Mae Ping Hotel and Maesa Elephant Camp, sponsored by Beer Thai 1991 Co. Ltd. to promote the art activity of elephants, art participation between elephants and humans, and to organize the Elephant Art Creation Club.
