The Lampang Ceramic Fair

If you're looking for some chic presents for your loved one(s), Lampang Ceramic Fair is the perfect place to find them, since it offers a variety of fine ceramic products from almost all the local manufacturers - at knock-down prices.

As a neighboring province of Chiang Mai, Lampang has long been recognized as the greatest exporter of ceramic products from Thailand. And every year, early in December, incredible numbers of visitors have the opportunity to experience the magnificent Lampang Ceramic Fair.

Formerly called the Northern Ceramic Exhibition, the fair was first held in 1986 at the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. Following that, the venue changed almost every year as the event has evolved over the last decade. The fair itself has increasingly developed in terms of product quality and logistical organization. Lampang Ceramic Association, the responsible body for organization at the present garnered a load of publicity in 1997 by creating a chicken bowl that with a diameter of 76 cms was the world's largest. Since then, the fair has been included in the TAT's yearly tourist schedule.

This upcoming Lampang Ceramic Fair from 1st - 10th December will be held at the Fourth Municipality Market, opposite the Big C Superstore in Lampang. Not only will numerous ceramic products be on sale at the event, but a wide range of consumer goods and OTOP products will also be offered; hence, the fair will be a one-stop shopping experience for all your friends and family. Savory local foods and a spacious beer garden will be on site as well, together with various stage performances, including mini concerts by popular looktung Thai singers.

With its superb products and perfect location – only 1-hour's drive from Chiang Mai – Lampang Ceramic Fair is indeed an event that should not be missed!
